The landmark recognition quiz
Spot the City is a free geography game built on one question: which city is this? A photograph of a real landmark appears, four city names below it, and you read the architecture before committing. No signup, no paywall, no advertising — 791 landmarks across 150 cities and 99 countries.
How the game works
Classic gives you three lives, a streak counter and four single-use wildcards: 50/50, Skip, Hint and twenty extra seconds. Daily is five landmarks, the same five for every player that day, with a result you can paste into a chat. Learn removes the clock and the lives so you can read instead of race. Duo is a pass-and-play round for two people on one device.
Where the answers come from
Every date, architect and description is taken from Wikidata and the English Wikipedia rather than written from memory, and every photograph is credited to the person who took it under the licence they chose. Landmarks with no freely licensed photograph are listed by name on their city page instead of being invented around.
